How dentists qualify in Turkey
Dental education in Turkey is a five-year university degree, longer than the general degree length in many countries. It combines academic study with hands-on clinical training on patients under supervision. Graduates are qualified dentists. Those who want to specialise, in oral surgery, prosthetics, orthodontics or endodontics, train further, often for several more years. The pathway is rigorous and comparable in structure to Western Europe.
How dentists qualify in the UK
UK dentists complete a five-year Bachelor of Dental Surgery, followed by foundation training. Specialists then pursue further postgraduate training and registration. The structure will look familiar next to the Turkish pathway: a long university degree, supervised clinical training, and additional years for specialists.
The training pathways are more alike than different. What varies is the individual dentist, not the country's system.

A clinic that answers these clearly, by name, is showing you the thing that matters more than any national comparison. Vague answers, or a reluctance to name anyone, tell you just as much. If a clinic cannot say who will treat you, that is worth noticing before you book.
